Key Responsibilities
A. Management Information System (MIS) & MEAL
- Develop and maintain the project MEAL framework, indicator tracking table, and data collection tools (digital and paper-based).
- Manage the project MIS/database (using KOBO, ODK, or similar) for timely and accurate data entry, cleaning, and analysis.
- Conduct regular field monitoring visits to verify data quality and assess progress against targets.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly MEAL reports, dashboards, and visualizations for management and donor reporting.
- Support baseline, mid-term, and end-line evaluations, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
B. Complaint and Response Mechanism (CRM) Focal Person
- Establish, operationalize, and promote the project’s community-based feedback and complaint mechanism.
- Ensure all complaints are recorded, acknowledged, and addressed in a timely, confidential, and dignified manner.
- Maintain the CRM register and produce periodic CRM analysis reports for adaptive management.
- Train staff and community volunteers on safe and ethical feedback handling, especially regarding sensitive complaints (PSEA, safeguarding).
- Ensure CRM information is accessible to all community members, including women, elderly, and persons with disabilities.
C. Gender Focal Person
- Integrate gender and inclusion considerations into MEAL tools, assessments, and reporting.
- Conduct gender analysis and support the development/implementation of the project Gender Action Plan.
- Train project staff and partners on gender-sensitive programming and data collection.
- Monitor and report on gender-specific indicators, ensuring equitable participation and benefit across all activities.
- Document and share lessons learned and success stories related to gender and inclusion.
Key Deliverables
- Functional project MEAL system with digital data collection tools and real-time dashboard.
- Monthly MEAL and CRM reports, including sex- and age-disaggregated data (SADD).
- CRM registry and closure reports, with recommendations for program improvement.
- Gender analysis summary and updated Gender Action Plan.
- Training reports for staff on CRM, gender mainstreaming, and data quality.
- End-of-project MEAL report including findings, lessons learned, and accountability summaries.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Gender Studies, MIS, or relevant field.
- Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in MEAL, MIS, or data management in humanitarian/development projects.
- Proven experience in managing CRM/accountability mechanisms and gender mainstreaming.
- Experience with digital data tools (KOBO, ODK, CommCare, Power BI) and advanced Excel.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical, reporting, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS), PSEA, and gender-sensitive programming.
- Fluency in English, Urdu, and Pashto (local language of Shangla is an advantage).
- Ability to train and mentor field staff and work effectively in remote, cold-weather settings.
Working Conditions
- Based in Shangla with frequent travel to remote, high-altitude field locations.
- Must adhere to organizational Code of Conduct, safeguarding, and PSEA policies.
- May require working beyond normal hours during data collection or reporting periods.
