Key Responsibilities:
- Continuously scan donor portals, funding platforms, and partner networks to identify and assess new funding opportunities relevant to the organization’s mandate.
- Develop comprehensive and technically robust Grant Proposals, Concept Notes, Expressions Of Interest (EOIs), Request For Proposals (RFPs), Presentations, and other resource mobilization documents that effectively articulate programmatic objectives and are fully aligned with the institutional fundraising strategies and donors/ clients’ requirements withing the policy frameworks, organization strategic priorities, and thematic focus areas.
- Conduct in-depth literature reviews, rigorous needs assessments, and systematic stakeholder consultations to inform evidence based-support in proposals’ development.
- Collaborate closely with technical specialists and cross-functional teams to define project objectives, evidence-based informed methodologies, and quantifiable indicators for monitoring & evaluation along with incorporating logical frameworks (log-frames), detailed implementation plans, risk mitigation strategies, and comprehensive budget narratives into all funding applications/ proposals/ submissions.
- Review, edit, and refine draft documents to ensure precision, coherence, consistency of technical language, and adherence to organizational and donor-specific writing standards.
- Coordinate effectively with consortium partners, sub-grantees, and external stakeholders during the co-creation and joint proposal development process.
- Maintain and regularly update a centralized calendar of proposal submission deadlines and a repository of submissions, approved proposals, templates, and supporting materials to enhance institutional knowledge management.
- Provide technical guidance, capacity strengthening, and mentorship to junior colleagues and team members on best practices in proposal development and donor engagement.
- Undertake any additional programmatic, technical, or administrative tasks as assigned by senior management to support the organization’s fundraising and strategic objectives.
Qualification:
Minimum 16 years’ qualification in Management Sciences/ Business Administration, Project Management, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or relevant field
Experience:
Minimum 03 years’ experience in Proposals Writing & Technical Documents’ preparation within development sector or consulting services.
Skill-set:
Proficient in MS Office, Google Workspace, Professional Software/ Virtual Platforms in relevant Technologie
