DW Akademie is seeking an experienced eLearning & digital teaching trainer to support university lecturers and media trainers in transforming their teaching methods for the journalism and media field.

The aim is to help participants move beyond conventional classroom and training-room delivery, and effectively design and deliver engaging, interactive, and future-oriented online and blended courses. 

The training will equip university lecturers and media trainers with modern eTeaching and eCourse creation skills to utilize their knowledge more effectively and beyond the conventional way of in-person teaching and training. 

Ideal Candidate Profile 

  • Proven expertise in designing and delivering interactive online and blended learning for higher education or professional training. 
  • Experience training lecturers, educators, or media trainers in innovative digital teaching methods. 
  • Strong understanding of journalism/media education needs in modern contexts. 
  • Familiarity with eLearning platforms (preferably Moodle-based) and ability to teach beyond platform-specific features. 
  • Knowledge of AI tools, online collaboration platforms, and digital content creation tools. 
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills for adult learners. 
  • Willingness to travel to Pakistan in November 2025 (or deliver remotely if required). 
Scope of Work & Training Timeline

The engagement will include:

• Needs Assessment with participating institutions to align training with their teaching goals and student needs.

• Training Preparation (designing course materials, exercises, and practical tasks).

• 2-4 Days of Training and mentoring (in-person in Pakistan, with virtual delivery as a contingency if travel is not possible).

• Post-Training Support (virtual Q&A sessions, mentoring, and reporting).

Participants will gain practical skills in:

1. Interactive eCourse Creation – Designing engaging online learning modules for journalism and media studies.

2. Student-Centered Digital Teaching – Moving from traditional lecture-style delivery to interactive, collaborative online methods.

3. Effective Use of Modern eLearning Platforms – Creating, managing, and delivering content on platforms like www.mediaviability.com.

4. Blended & Hybrid Learning Strategies – Combining in-person teaching with online methods for maximum learning impact.

5. Integrating AI Tools in Teaching – Using AI to create interactive exercises, generate course materials, assess student work, and provide personalised feedback.

6. Virtual Communication & Collaboration Tools – Using tools such as Zoom, Teams, Miro, or Jamboard to enhance online engagement.

7. Digital Research Skills for Course Updating – Finding, evaluating, and integrating fresh, reliable content into journalism courses.

8. Designing Learning for New-Generation Journalists – Adapting course design for students aiming to enter the modern journalism and media business.

9. Assessments & Feedback in Digital Environments – Creating quizzes, discussion forums, peer reviews, and interactive assignments.

10. Inclusive & Accessible Teaching – Ensuring content and delivery methods are accessible for diverse learning needs.

11. Gamification & Engagement Techniques – Using challenges, storytelling, and interactive media to maintain student motivation.

12. Monitoring Learning Progress & Performance Assessment – Training participants to track student engagement, assess performance effectively, conduct grading, and manage approvals.
