Normeca International AS is operating an innovative healthcare project in Pakistan, the “Mobile Multi-Diagnostic Clinic / Mini Hospital,” in collaboration with the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB) and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. This project involves state-of-the-art mobile clinics, housed in large, fully-equipped trailers, designed to deliver essential healthcare services directly to communities in the KPK and Sindh regions. Each mobile clinic supports a range of general diagnostic services and minor surgical procedures. In addition to advanced medical equipment, the units are designed with comprehensive facilities, including kitchens, laundry, dining areas, and conference rooms, ensuring complete functionality and comfort for medical teams and patients alike. Through this project, Normeca International AS is committed to enhancing healthcare accessibility and delivering high-quality care to underserved areas.

Normeca International AS is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our project in Pakistan, “Mobile Multi Diagnostic Clinic / Mini Hospital,” operated under the management of the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB) and in cooperation with the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. These clinics, which provide general diagnostic and minor surgical procedures, are fully equipped mobile units operating in the KPK and Sindh regions.

Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day accounting operations, including registration of receipts and daily accounting entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards and company policies.
  • Collect, verify, and register receipts from the company’s mobile medical units in Sindh and KP, and ensure timely entry into the accounting system.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
  • Ensure timely filing of all statutory tax returns and compliance with local tax regulations.
  • Coordinate and support external financial and tax audits.
  • Maintain and monitor accounting systems and records, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information at all times.
  • Review and analyze financial data to identify variances and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Work closely with HQ finance department for budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Liaise with banks, tax authorities, and external auditors as needed.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure integrity of financial data.

Qualification and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA/CA qualification preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting, preferably with international or foreign companies.
  • Strong knowledge of modern accounting practices, local tax legislation, and financial reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
  • Practical experience in managing financial and tax audits.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred (training will be provided if not previously used).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).
