Organization’s Background:

A National Level NGO engaged in advocacy, campaigning, community mobilization, research, networking, challenging anti poor policies, plans and actions at local, national and international level with different coalitions. Since its inception, covered at least 22 districts of Balochistan and has worked to ensure a peaceful and secure environment within communities. The main Goal is to eliminate poverty and violence from society by means of encouraging human rights and civic education culture.


Job Overview/Summary. 

The District Coordination Officer (DCO) will serve as the focal point for Organization operations at the district level, ensuring smooth coordination between the organization, government line departments, community stakeholders, and partner organizations. The role involves planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting program activities, while ensuring compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and government regulations.

Major Responsibilities

Program Coordination & Implementation

  • Lead, plan, and coordinate program activities at the district level in line with project objectives.

  • Ensure timely and effective implementation of project activities within budget and scope.

  • Maintain close coordination with district government offices, local authorities, and partner organizations.

  • Facilitate community mobilization, awareness sessions, and local-level advocacy initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement & Representation

  • Represent the NGO in all district-level forums, coordination meetings, and government platforms.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with district administration, line departments, CSOs, and community leaders.

  • Act as the primary contact person for the NGO at the district level.

Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation

  • Monitor field activities, ensure quality standards, and identify challenges with appropriate solutions.

  • Collect, verify, and compile field-level data and progress reports for submission to the regional/program manager.

  • Prepare meeting minutes, activity reports, and documentation of best practices and lessons learned.

Administrative & Financial Coordination

  • Oversee district-level office operations, logistics, and administrative tasks.

  • Support finance staff in verifying expenditures, maintaining records, and ensuring financial compliance.

  • Ensure effective utilization of project resources in accordance with organizational and donor guidelines.

Capacity Building & Team Support

  • Supervise and provide guidance to field staff and volunteers working in the district.

  • Organize training, orientations, and workshops for field teams and community groups.

  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and adherence to NGO’s code of conduct and safeguarding policies.

Job Specification:

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum Masters’ degree in social or natural science discipline addition qualification would be given preference.

  • Minimum 3 year’s professional experience specially served on Management position preferably in development sector.


Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills (Urdu, English, and local languages).

  • Strong organizational and report-writing skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Good command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a diverse team.

  • Willingness to travel frequently within the district and project areas.


Language Skills:  

  • Fluent, professional level speaking, reading and writing in English Urdu and Pashto
